How is the project doing ?

The project is currently in development, whether it is on the web part or on the documentary one.

• On documentaries, we are working on subjects. We are looking for the right places and persons that will make tomorrow’s adventures. An unknown Reserve in Alaska, an island in the middle of the Pacific, the Steppes of Kazakhstan, we are evaluating the potentials of our ideas and desires.
• On the web part, we are designing the prototype of what the social experience on the web plateform will be.

What is motivating your destinations choice ?

More than destinations, what we want to share is adventures by going where the richness of biodiversity explodes. Those places are usually preserved from the hand of man but still managed and studied by conservationists on the field dealing with a loads of problems everyday. It is a great occasion to ally an aesthetic dimension to deep subjects on environmental issues.

When will the website and the 1st episode of the series be available?

The production is planned to begin in 2012. Last winter, we went to Costa Rica to shoot the first episode, this was an extraordinary adventure. The episode is currently in post-production and we are looking after showing it to you. Even if it is still too early to say, we hope to show you things as soon as possible, like around mid-2012, before if we can. Why producing a documentary for the web?

For many reasons, but first to propose a new interactive and visual experience. The idea is to immerse the audience into the adventure, while allowing him to browse through the photographs taken in the field as well as access articles written by the team. Another reason, as important for us is the contact we want to create between you and us and between you. Beyond our adventures, we want to follow yours.

Why shooting a documentary with DSLRs?

Video in DSLR has been around for a time now but has been a deep revolution, both for photographers and videographers. Working with a compatible photo/video equipment was the first reason for this choice. Sharing the same optics is a real gain of weight and time, which is key in the field. The Canon line of lenses is another reason, allowing us to easily shoot in macro, with a super-telephoto, or even with a super-wide angle. At last, the look of the image produces by those new tools is very appealing to us, the shallow depth of field is giving this cinematographic look we are looking for.
